Cameron's First Word

Well he did it! He said his first word. Anyone want to guess? Yes, it was DaDa. Now he won't stop saying it. He knows what he is saying too. When Daniel walks in the room and you say where is DaDa he looks right at him. Last night at dinner, Cameron kept saying it over and over and Daniel kept looking at him and saying "what?" and Cameron would just laugh or smile real big. I can't believe my baby is starting to talk. It is very sad for me being that this is my last one. They really do grow up fast. Oh yeah and not to mention Carson starts T-ball tonight. It is his first practice and he has his bat bag all ready to go. Now that one is even harder to swallow. It seems he is still my baby. I look at everything Cameron is doing and am remembering when Carson was that little doing all of it and now look. Time flies when you are having fun!!! Love being a mom of 2 boys!!

Cameron and his cookie

Ok so Cameron is now 7 months and it was time to try the biter biscuits(aka cookie). It went really well until I tried to take it away. He screamed and got really mad so here he is after I gave it back. I wish I had a picture of when I took it away. I had to stay out of the room for awhile because every time I came close to him he screamed as if I was coming to take it away again. After he realized I was done taking it away I could come back.
This is the face he made for me when it was ok to clean him up because he was done. But not until I saw this face did I dare make a move on the cookie. Oh and yes those are soggy cheerios I soaked in water first and he loves them. He makes the cutest sound when he is chewing on them.

He loves his cup about as much as he loves his cookie. Same story as above. I think he may have a little bit of a temper like his mommy.

The Hail Storm

Ok this was the craziest hail storm I have ever seen. Had to take some pictures. I had just gotten home from taking Carson to school and closed the garage and wow did it start to come down. It was coming down in sheets and piling up in the flower beds and all over the yard. The roof was filling up and dumping it onto the ground. It was so loud. It was bigger than pea size but smaller than a marble. We get hail a lot out here, but I have never seen this much so fast.

Daniel and the Evans kids

This is Daniel with Addison, Aubrey, Garrett and Faith.
Chris and Daniel took the kids Monday morning go-carting. Daniel and Chris got to race each other on the bigger track.

Here is Garrett.....

Faith....

Aubrey....and Chris and Addison behind her.

Here are the girls. Faith just turned 6, Aubrey is 4, and Addison just turned 2. They are adorable and such loving girls. Poor Garrett surrounded by girls for the rest of his life. He is such a great big brother and turning into to such a great young man. Chris and Les you guys are doing such a great job!! Glad its you guys with 4 and not us. We love you!!

Garrett, Faith and Aubrey out playing some soccer with Daniel and Chris.

Daniel and Addison riding on the mower. Daniel had such a good time with the kids. They all call him Uncle Daniel.

Daytona 500

Daniel in the infield before the races. What a great time they had. Look at the beautiful palm trees behind him. The weather was perfect for racing.
This was Chris in Jeff Gordan's pit area. What a moment for Chris. He is as much a Gordan fan as Daniel is a Dale Jr. fan. I asked Daniel if Chris would ever be a Jr. fan now that he was Gordan's teammate and he said "not as long as I am a Jr. fan". It is a great and fun rivalry. One of the big jokes between them all weekend was when they were buying souveneirs, Daniel waited in long lines to buy Dale Jr. stuff and Chris never had to wait to buy Gordan's stuff. We all still laugh about seeing Chris in the line by himself and Daniel in a mob of people waiting. I am laughing as I type and I was not even there to see it. I guess you may have to know Chris and Daniel's relationship to appreciate it.

Daniel on the infield grass before the race. They got special passes to see the pits and hang out in the infield. That is always some of the best times.

Dale Jr's pit sign on pit road.

Dale Jr's souvenier trailer always had long lines, but Daniel waited to bring us all home something.

Chris and his twin sister(Christina) before the race tailgating.

Chris' dad(Larry) and friend Jim tailgating.

more tailgating....

This was as close as they got to Dale Jr. He was in the Amp(sponsor) tent talking to the crowd.
Pretty good picture, right?

Daniel with one of Dale Jr's cars.

Chris and Daniel on pit road with their passes.

This was such a fun trip for Daniel. He got to see the first and biggest race of the season. His driver(Dale Jr.) has a new team, sponsor, and number, so it was an exciting weekend. He also got to spend some time with some great friends. Here are a few pictures he and Chris took at the races(not all of them, there were 180). Thanks again Chris and Les!

Valentines Day

We had such a great day on Valentines! Carson woke me up early with a card and my favorite chocolate truffles from Harry and Davids. He was so excited he could not stay in bed past 7AM. Beautiful red tulips were waiting for me in the kitchen from my wonderful husband. Carson got another webkinz, an apron and chef hat(since he loves to help me in the kitchen) and some yummy treats. This time Cameron got a webkinz too, just to cuddle with since he can not get online yet. Carson got a bull dog and named him Bruno and Cameron got the mini bull dog and Carson named him Junior. Carson thought that was so neat that now Cameron has one. I cooked a shrimp pasta dish(Carson's new favorite food is now shrimp) for dinner and we ate at home with the boys. Daniel and I had already done our Valentines dinner out the weekend before and had a great time. That was our first date out since Cameron was born. It is so much fun to just sit and enjoy a nice, long, romantic, not rushed dinner with great adult conversation.

Carson reading

Carson was reading Cameron's book to him. He was looking at the pictures and making up a story to go along with them. He is very good at keeping Cameron's attention while I am getting ready. Cameron just laid there and listened the whole time until I got the camera out and started flashing.

Florida

Well the weather has been beautiful in sunny Florida and Daniel is flying back late tonight. The boys and I did great, but are ready for him to be back. He has had so much fun spending time with friends. Pictures will be coming soon. Chris and Leslie's kids love him so much(especially Aubrey) and were so glad he was staying with them. Daniel and Chris went back to take the kids to ride go-carts this morning and bowling with everyone this afternoon before they take him back to the airport. Did you catch that? I said went back go-carting because Daniel and Chris had already gone(I think to 2 different places) as soon as they got a chance on Saturday. I am so glad Daniel got to go again this year. Thank you Chris for getting the tickets together and inviting Daniel. I know you both had a blast. I love to watch your friendship. They don't make many like Chris anymore. We love you, bud!! Les, its our turn next time.

Daytona and the weather

Ok I am really enjoying reading everyone elses blogs. I am realizing that mine is not very good. So I am going to have to try and step it up. I am far from being a great writer like my sister. Amanda you are the best and need to write a book.
Daniel flew out early this morning to Florida and our friend picked him up and they headed to Daytona for the races. For those who don't know, one of Daniel's passions is Nascar and he got this great opportunity again to go to Daytona so he jumped on it. It's just me and the boys this weekend and the weather is yuk, cold and raining. The weather at Daytona, the 80's and beautiful. Great for him, not so great for us. When Carson woke up this morning at 1AM with the thunder and lightning he said, "I think I should have gone with daddy to Florida, where the weather is going to be nice". Actually that was exactly my thought too.
