Carson and his fish(es)

Carson had a great day fishing and here are all of his first 5 catches! He caught the most fish that day. Daniel caught nothing and Randall(Daniel's cousin) caught a few. By far Carson caught the most and you can see the excitement on his face when he caught that first one. His biggest one was a 3lb bass and they all said it was big. He reeled each of them in by himself and needed little help with anything except holding the fish for the picture. Not yet ready to hold it, but maybe next time. There will be a next time soon, because they are already planning it. He may turn out to be quite the fisherman. I can not believe he even has the patience for it. I love Randall's face in the background of these, he looks so proud and happy for him. What a sweet cousin to want to take the time and let Carson tag along on all theses adventures with the guys. Did I mention he(Randall) has the patience of Job too?!

"Come, follow me," Jesus said,"and I will make you fishers of men."

Manners and more

We are very big on manners at our house and after last weeks conversation in the car on the way to school it made me proud and I had to laugh. Carson is in the back of the van worshipping to his cd with his hand in the air. I look back and by the third song I say "Carson doesn't your arm get tired?" He says "no I just switch." It is the most sweetest thing to see that kind of worshipping going on in the car so early in the morning. So during a song break he says, "Mommy, I wish I could see Jesus!" I tell him "yes, me too, one day we will" and he interrupts and says "I know one day when we get to go to Heaven" and I agree. I then tell him if he wants he can close his eyes and imagine what Jesus might look like until we get to see Him one day. He in turn without missing a beat says,"No thank you!" Just priceless!

Another of Cameron's firsts

Do any of these pictures really need captions? Cameron is really getting to be such a funny kid!!
We had sticky green popsicle everywhere as you can see! But boy was it good!

Grandparents Day

Friday was Grandparents Day at school, so of course my parents wanted to come. They were so excited to be close enough to do it. Carson was very excited to show them around his new school and room. They had muffins and did an activity with him before having to leave. There were lots of kids with no grandparents there so the sweet people my parents are decided to adopt a couple of them at Carson's table and help them with their activity. I am so glad my parents live closer now and can do things like this. They really enjoyed getting to see where he is all day now and were really impressed with the teachers, staff and the school. It really made Carson's day too!! Thanks Nana and Papa J for making YOUR day special to him also. On a side note, it was spirit day and the kids usually wear there school t-shirt, but not Carson. In honor of grandparents day he insisted on wearing his and Papa J's favorite team shirt! Go Longhorns!!

Sammy

We have a new kitten at the house. We have never really been cat people, but we really need one out here in the country for the mice. He is really Carson's new kitten and mostly his responsibility and he is doing a great job taking care of him. He named him Sammy and says that he is Sammy's daddy. Sammy follows Carson everywhere Carson goes outside only of course. As you can see he is really cute and very sweet with the kids. Thank you to my grandfather and his fertile calico cat who makes very pretty kittens.

My Little Escapee

This is my sweet baby after his bath. Look at that mischievious face. Guess what is about to happen? You might have guessed it! If happens every time you start to dry him off.........

He gets up and takes off running around his room while laughing, then jets out the door and runs down the hall with the towel still on his head dragging behind him, and squealing with excitement that he has escaped. The best shot I got was right after this, but the shot was a little too revealing and didn't make the blog. Cameron would never forgive me showing everything to everyone!
Here he stopped to play the drums on his trash can!

My Family

What can I say? I love our little family. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and two beautiful, healthy boys!! One woman could not ask for more. Thank you Jesus! You are the maker of ways!

Labor Day Weekend

Papa J and Nana with the whole crew. All 5 are 5 and under for another few months.

This picture is so funny! It looks like he has been caught and wanting to tell me that Nana made him do it!! Thats what Nana's are for, right??

Papa J and Cameron probably singing.

These two are two peas in a pod and both very strong personalities. It makes for some interesting times now and I am sure more to come.

Hope and Carson found a fun thing to do with the dominoes. Not sure about sitting on Nana's dining table!

Bella and Cameron sharing the blocks. I can't wait to see what they do Christmas. They are 6 months apart and they will probably both be saying "MINE".
