Prayers for Holden

For those of who don't know, my baby sister and her husband adopted a beautiful baby boy just over a month ago. What a blessed miracle he is. He has been doing great, but had what everyone was thinking might be reflux. They went in for an upper GI yesterday morning and found out it was something a little more. He was diagnosed with Pyloric Stenosis. This is a condition where the baby's pylorus(muscle in the stomach)gradually swells and thickens and interferes with food entering the intestines, thus where the projectile spitting up was coming from. They admitted him yesterday and after working on him all day and finally having to take him to surgery to get the IV in, he is now doing better and getting fluids for the dehydration. He is hungry and can't have anything to eat so is getting a little fussy. They are doing the surgery on him this afternoon and should be back to eating in the next 24 hours. So this blog today is for everyone who reads it to begin praying for Holden and the family. Pray for the Drs and nurses and everyone involved in making him better. The surgery will fix it and he should be home in a few days. He is at Childrens Hospital in OKC, so we know he is in great hands. Thank you in advance for all your prayers. You can go to Melodie's blog(Our Growing Family) from my blog to read their story.
